Scrutiny Review: What protection do children in Jersey have from online harms?
I write to inform you that the Children, Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel has agreed to undertake a Scrutiny Review on the subject of What protection do children in Jersey have from online harms?'. The Terms of Reference for the Review are attached as Appendix 1 on this letter.
We intend to begin our work immediately and this will include inviting submissions from relevant stakeholders and members of the public and collecting further information from the Executive through written requests and public hearings.

Review: What protection do children in Jersey have from online harms? Terms of Reference
- To examine and establish the protection in place for children in Jersey from online harms, to include consideration of:
- Legislation;
- Regulation;
- Government policy;
- The role of internet service providers and technology;
- The role of social media platforms, content providers and content creators; and
- The role of education, family, and culture.
- To establish what is considered good practice, and strong safeguarding, for children within online environments and a digital world and consider this in the context of Jersey's position.
