Jersey Youth Assembly (JYA)

The Jersey Youth Assembly is currently undergoing an exciting transformation, bringing together the best elements of both the Jersey Youth Parliament and the former Youth Assembly.


We’re creating a platform where young people can:

  • Voice their opinions on issues that matter most to them
  • Build leadership skills and develop the confidence and tools to create change
  • Collaborate, innovate and work together on the policies and project that impact them

Find out more about the timeline for change below:

January – March 2025

  • Collecting feedback from young people on the proposed structure, activities, and branding of the JYA.

 March 2025

  • Presenting final recommendations to the Political Awareness and Education Sub-Committee for approval.

 April 2025

  • Sharing the details of the revamped JYA with States Members and key stakeholders.

 April – July 2025

  • Recruitment of participants.

 September 2025

  • Official launch of the new Jersey Youth Assembly and the start of the programme.
