The term of the current Chair, Mr Jacob Kohnstamm is due to conclude on 24 May 2024. The Minister intends to extend the term of Mr Jacob Kohnstamm as Chair of the Jersey Data Protection Authority for a period of 5-months, which will take effect from 24 May 2024. This will enable Mr Kohnstamm to continue to Chair the JDPA for the additional 5-months until 28 October 2024, to ensure continuity of leadership during the planning  and  development  of  the  2024  Global  Privacy  Assembly  International conference. This global conference is to be hosted in Jersey by the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner from 29 to 31 October 2024.
