Following the resignation of Mr. Thomas Lyons and a successful recruitment process overseen  by  the  Appointments  Commission,  the  following  individual  had  been identified as an ideal candidate to serve as a Member of the JEA:

Mr. Christian Gott Background

The position was advertised in November 2025 and interviews were held on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. The interview panel, which consisted of Mrs. L-M. Hart , Greffier of the States, Ms. R. Morley-Kirk, Judicial Greffier and Mr. M. Marrett-Crosby, Chair of the JEA, was unanimous in their endorsement of the appointment of Mr. Gott as a Member of the JEA.
