REPORT

On 19 February 2025, the Chief Minister made a Ministerial Decision delegating certain of his functions under Articles 28, 30 and 30A of the States of Jersey Law 2005 (see Decision reference MD-CM-2025-115, available at www.gov.je).

The terms of the delegations, and the legislation under which those delegations were made, were recorded in a Report attached to the Ministerial Decision, as shown below –

Scope of delegation:

The  ability  to  answer  questions  or  act  as  rapporteur  in  the  States Assembly on this matter and develop policy or legislation in this area.

Notably, a review of the Law and its operation is taking place in 2025 to support increased transparency, while managing the volume and supporting the effective conduct of public business. The delegation will support the implementation of this work, including engagement with Scrutiny and States Members.
