Trusts (Jersey) Law Amendment 202- Amendments to the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984 to deal with four issues (1) Confirmation of the priority of claims between a former and current trustee and a secured lender; (2) Article 43: limiting the ability of adult beneficiaries to call for the termination of a trust if other beneficiaries can be appointed; (3) Article 19: clarifying that a sole trustee cannot resign if that leaves no trustee (4) Minor corrections including to Article 55 - deletion of word 'actual' to make all references to notice consistent throughout the law. Children will not experience the problem differently from adults. |
