THE STATES commenced consideration of the proposition of Deputy Robert Charles Duhamel of St. Saviour concerning the proposed sale of the Former Jersey College for Girls and, adopting paragraph (a) of a proposition of Deputy Robert Charles Duhamel of St. Saviour –
( a ) requested the Minister for Treasury and Resources to take no steps to conclude the sale of the former
Jersey College for Girls, as reported to the States on 20th February 2007 until the documentation relied upon by the Minister to establish the value of the property (land and buildings) had been presented to the States Assembly.

THE STATES noted that, in accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 106(a), Deputy Alan John Henry Maclean of St. Helier had declared an interest and had withdrawn from the Chamber during consideration of this matter.

Draft Road Traffic (No. 57) (Jersey) Regulations 200- P .161/2006
THE STATES commenced consideration of the Draft Road Traffic (No. 57) (Jersey) Regulations 200- and adopted the principles.
Regulations 1 to 7 were adopted, the States having accepted an amendment of the Minister of Transport and Technical Services to Regulation 7 that in paragraph (2) for the words"on 1st February 2007" there be substituted the words "7 days after they are made".

THE STATES, in pursuance of the Order in Council of 26th December 1851 and Article 92 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956, made Regulations entitled Road Traffic (No. 57) (Jersey) Regulations 2007.
Changes in presidency
The Deputy Bailiff retired from the Chamber during consideration of the Draft Road Traffic (No. 57) (Jersey) Regulations 200- and the meeting continued under the presidency of Mr. Michael Nelson de la Haye, Greffier o the States.
Appointment of President of the Chairmen's Committee
In accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 121(1), the following nominations were made –
