Question

“Further to the adoption of P.34/2023 (Provision of carpets in Andium Homes properties), as amended, will the Minister advise –

  1. how many tenants, if any, have received funding for carpets since the adoption of P.34/2023; and
  2. what work has been undertaken and/or what meetings, if any, have been held with all social housing providers to review their policies relating to both the provision of flooring as standard in all properties and the reuse of carpets after cleaning?”

Answer

  1. 72 Andium tenants have received grants (that is, non-repayable funding) to support the cost of carpets since the adoption of P.34/2023.
  2. Officers have met with or spoken to all social housing providers to inform the ongoing review of flooring in social housing properties. Further discussions are currently taking place with the providers prior to the finalisation of the review.
