WQ.311/2025

WRITTEN QUESTION TO THE MINISTER FOR EDUCATION AND LIFELONG LEARNING

BY DEPUTY M.B. ANDREWS OF ST HELIER NORTH

QUESTION SUBMITTED ON MONDAY 7th JULY 2025

ANSWER TO BE TABLED ON MONDAY 14th JULY 2025

Question

"Will the Minister state, for each of the last five years, the number of reported cases in States schools where a child has been considered a suicide risk?"

Answer

The Department does not hold this information in a reportable format. When staff in schools have that level of concern about a child or young person, they would refer to CAMHS or the Emergency Department.
