MINISTER FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
REPORT
Following further consultation with the non-ministerial departments I have agreed to bring forward an amendment to the Draft Public Records (Jersey) Amendment Law 202- which would remove paragraph 2B from Article 38(2).
This is a very minor change which will ensure the amended Public Records (Jersey) Law is aligned with the expressions used elsewhere in respect of non-ministerial departments, such as in the States of Jersey Law 2005.
This amendment is therefore clarificatory and does not affect the operation of sub-paragraph 2A before it.
Financial and staffing implications
There are no staffing or resource implications as a result of this amendment.
Children's Rights Impact Assessment
The decision contained in this amendment has no impact on children or their rights as set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Accordingly, a Children's Rights Impact Assessment (CRIA) is not required under the Children (Convention Rights) (Jersey) Law 2022.
