Established in 1992, the Bailiff’s Consultative Panel allows the Bailiff to engage confidentially with a group of elected members to discuss matters sucha as the Liberation Day celebrations and arrangements for the departure or arrival of a Lieutenant-Governor.
The Chief Minister, the Chair of the Privileges and Procedures Committee, the Minister for Treasury and Resources and the Chair of the Comité des Connétables are automatically members of the Panel. Five other elected States Members are appointed as members of the Panel by the States Assembly for a term of three years.
