Scrutiny: share your views on current review topics
Scrutiny Reviews are crucial in holding Government to account.
Scrutiny Panels and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) collect evidence via a number of methods including calls for evidence, public surveys, and connecting with key individuals and organisations directly involved in the review topic. Each review process will differ slightly depending on the topic being scrutinised.
At the end of a review, the findings are presented to the States Assembly in the form of either a Report, which will contain recommendations to the Minister(s), or Comments. On occasions, Panels and the PAC may also lodge Amendments following their reviews.
