Election of Scrutiny Panel and Committee Members

The States Assembly will meet at 9:30am tomorrow, Tuesday 19 July, to elect Scrutiny Panel and Committee Members.
The meeting will be dedicated to the election of these roles and will be broadcast live via Public-I using the following links:
The Order Paper includes appointments to be made for each of the various Committees and Panels and the order in which they will be proposed, as highlighted below.
- President of the Scrutiny Liaison Committee
- Members of the Privileges and Procedures Committee (PPC)
- Elected Members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC)
- Members of the five Scrutiny Panels
- Members of the Planning Committee
- States Commissioners of the Jersey Overseas Aid Commission
- Two Members of the States Employment Board
- Member and Associate Member to represent the States of Jersey in the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly
The Assembly will appoint one member from the five Scrutiny Chairs and the Chair of PAC as President of the Scrutiny Liaison Committee (SLC).
Nominations for these positions will be taken at the meeting. There will be no speeches or questions with exception of candidates for the role of President of SLC, who will speak for up to 10 minutes followed by a 20-minute question period. If any position is contested, a vote will be taken.
A notification of the results of each appointment will be shared on the States Assembly Twitter and Facebook pages throughout the meeting.
