States Debate Common Strategic Policy

The States debated the Proposed Common Strategic Policy at today's meeting (Tuesday 4th December 2018).
The document sets out the priorities for the States from 2018 to 2022. The Council of Ministers put forward six policies:
- Put children first
- Improve Islanders' wellbeing and mental and physical health
- Create a sustainable, vibrant economy and skilled local workforce for the future
- Reduce income inequality and improve the standard of living
- Protect and value our environment
There were eleven amendments from States members.
