This week's States Meeting

This week's States Meeting will commence this morning, Tuesday 20 September, at 9:30am. The entire meeting will be broadcast live via Public-I from the States Chamber.
To begin the meeting, the Assembly will appoint one member of the Scrutiny Liaison Committee as a member of the Privileges and Procedures Committee. Nominations to follow include the Connétable of St Ouen for the role of a non-elected member of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), three non-elected members of the PAC and the Connétable of Grouville for the role of a member of the Children, Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel. Two Members of the Jersey Police Authority will also be appointed by the States Assembly.
States Members will ask Ministers up to two hours and 20 minutes of oral questions, which have been issued to them in advance (i.e. 'with notice'). Details of this week's oral questions with notice can be found on page 29 of the Order Paper. The following Ministers will answer oral questions which they have not been given in advance of the meeting (i.e., 'without notice') for 15 minutes each:
The Minister for Health and Social Services, Deputy Karen Wilson;
The Minister for Home Affairs, Deputy Helen Miles; and
The Chief Minister, Deputy Kristina Moore
