Views sought on Level 2 guidance for businesses and sport
15 June 2020
The Economic and International Affairs Scrutiny Panel is seeking views from the business community following the publication of Level 2 guidance for businesses and sport. Under Level 2 of the Safe Exit Framework, increased business activity in workplaces is possible, within strict guidelines.
Under the Level 2 policy, some activities will involve a higher transmission risk, where any 2 people are likely to come within 2 meters of each other for longer than 15 minutes. The guidance to mitigate this risk has been set out for businesses and sport activities. This includes:
Food and drink businesses
Leisure venues
Non-residential institutions i.e. libraries, community centres
Hotels
Hairdressers, beauty and nail salons
Tattoo parlours
Sports and fitness
Regulated allied healthcare i.e. dentists, mental health services
The Panel would like to hear from any businesses and/or sport organisations who fall within the Level 2 policy guidance to ensure that it is viable and fit for purpose. Views can be submitted to the Panel by email: k.boydens@gov.je or via the States Assembly Twitter account.
