REPORT

The Commission Amicale is a Parliamentary body which includes all members of the States. In many respects it is similar to that of other political bodies such as CPA, APF and the Groupe d'Etudes. I feel that it is important, as we prepare for the future structure of the States, that this should be recognised now to ensure that the Commission is kept separate from the Policy and Resources Committee and in the future, the Executive.

This is an important principle which I believe should receive the endorsement of the States. I accept that there may be modest resource implications for the States Greffe but these should be addressed if the principle is accepted.
