REPORT

All propositions that come to the States should, wherever possible, be SMART; that is, amongst other things, they should be achievable, and timed. In accepting that my original timescale of achieving online voting by 2018 may not be deliverable, and thereby agreeing to the amendment from PPC, I nevertheless wish to maintain some indicator of timely action. A requirement to report annually to the States on progress provides a simple and not too onerous means of doing so, I believe.

Financial and manpower implications

There are no financial or manpower implications for the States arising from this amendment to PPC's amendment.
