COMMENTS
The Finance and Economics Committee gives its support in this instance to the Housing Committee and authorises this one-off utilisation of sales receipts from 6 unsuitable and run-down units of social accommodation to fund the refurbishment of 83 units of accommodation at Le Clos de Roncier.
In giving its approval, the Committee is not supporting a wholesale change in policy as there is a defined capital allocation process to which Committees should adhere. Forthcoming proposals for the centralisation of the States property function would facilitate the funding mechanism for the maintenance of all States properties.
