The Finance and Economics Committee supports this transfer on the basis that it is a more appropriate and value for money allocation of land. However, the Committee notes that the land that is proposed to be transferred to the Harbours and Airport Committee is of greater commercial value than the land exchanged and will therefore expect an increased return from that Committee, recognising the increased yield of the higher value land.
