Amendment to P.51/2024 Budget 2025 – 2028. In the Budget 2025 – 2028, the Children, Young People, Education and Skills Head of Expenditure has been split into two separate Heads of Expenditure to align with the respective Ministerial responsibilities of the Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning and the Minister for Children and Families. This ensures that Members can clearly see the budget allocation to each of the Ministries, ensuring Heads of Expenditures align with ministerial portfolios. Following further detailed review of budgets since lodging the Budget 2025 – 2028, a more accurate methodology to allocate overhead budgets within CYPES has been used, and consequential adjustments to the split of approvals is required. This is a technical adjustment and does not impact the operations of the department. It simply ensures the Heads of Expenditure match underlying budgets. The amendment seeks to adjust budgets accordingly based on the revised methodology. Following the amendment the heads of expenditure will be updated accordingly. |
