Shadow Scrutiny A1. The Committee received and considered a report prepared by Mrs. Carol Le Panels – request Quesne, Scrutiny Officer, in relation to the initial work programme of the Shadow for endorsement Scrutiny Panels and a request for the Committee's endorsement.

programme. The Committee noted that in accordance with the criteria laid down under work 502/1(13) programmes in Shadow Scrutiny: Arrangements and Approval of Chairmen and
Members (P.186/2003), the Committee's endorsement was required in order that the Scrutiny work of Shadow Scrutiny could commence.
The Committee further noted that the initial programmes were as follows –
Senator Vibert Panel Water Resources Agri-Environment Waste Management Trust Port Infrastructure
Deputy Dorey Panel
Capital Gains Tax
Needle Exchange Programme
The Panel had also agreed that the following two reviews would be held in reserve -
States Redundancy Policy
Lunch Time Supervision Charges in Schools
The Committee fully endorsed the programme and looked forward to a subsequent report on the Shadow Scrutiny Panels' progress.
