THE  STATES  commenced  consideration  of  a  proposition  of  Senator  Philip  Francis  Cyril   Ozouf concerning the reform of the composition and election of the States Assembly (P.93/2013) and rejected an amendment of Deputy John Alexander Nicholas Le Fondré of St. Lawrence that paragraph (a) should be deleted and substituted by the following –

"(a)  that  the  Assembly  should  be  comprised  of  51 members,  comprising  8 Senators,

12 Connétable s and 31 Deputies;";

that paragraph (b) should be deleted and the following paragraphs renumbered accordingly;

that the Table in paragraph (d) should be deleted and substituted by the following Table –

THE STATES commenced consideration of an amendment of Senator Lyndon John Farnham to the proposition  of  Senator  Philip  Francis  Cyril   Ozouf  and  rejected  an  amendment  to  that  amendment proposed  by   Deputy  Edward  James  Noel  of   St. Lawrence ,  that  in  paragraph (a),  for  the  words "45 members" there should be substituted the words "44 members" and for the words "27 Deputies" there  should  be  substituted  the  words  "26 Deputies";  in  paragraph (d),  in  the  Table  showing  the proposed Deputies' Constituencies, for the number "6" in the number of Deputies to be returned for Districts 1 and 2 there should be substituted the number "5" and for the number "3" in the number of Deputies to be returned for District 5 there should be substituted the number "4"; in paragraph (f), for the number "45" there should be substituted the number "44"; and in paragraph (g), for the number "20" there should be substituted the number "19".
