All members were present, with the exception of Connétable C.H. Taylor of St. John and Deputy S.M. Brée of St. Clement , who were conflicted by virtue of being members of the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel and Senator P.F.C. Ozouf , who had recused himself from consideration of this matter.

Challenge to  A1.  The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. A1 of 10th May 2016, summons  recalled that it had circulated to both parties its decision in in relation to the challenge served by the  by the States of Jersey Development Company (SOJDC) to the summons issued Corporate  upon its Managing Director by the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel (CSSP), and Services  also its reasons for that decision.

Scrutiny Panel:

Managing  The Committee further recalled that it had decided that the documents requested by Director of the  the CSSP, or true copies thereof, could be inspected by members of, and officers to, States of  the CSSP at the offices of SOJDC, or its lawyers, during normal business hours from Jersey  7 days of the date of the decision. The Committee noted that the SOJDC had Development  requested that the 7 day period should be extended by a further 7 days to enable it to Company.  consider its legal position.

Having given due consideration to the matter, the Committee agreed to amend the terms and conditions on which the summons would be upheld, to accede to the request of the SOJDC.
