Complaints A1. The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. B10 of 16th May 2017, Board: recalled that it had approved the presentation to the States of a report of the States Complaint by of Jersey Complaints Board in connexion with a complaint by Mrs. X. against the Mrs. X. against States' Employment Board, regarding the way in which her request for ill health the States' retirement had been handled.

Board. The Committee further recalled that, in accordance with Article 9(3) of the Response to Administrative Decisions (Review) (Jersey) Law 1982, the Board had asked that the the response of States' Employment Board consider its findings and advise on the action taken to the States' reconsider Mrs. X's case and the result of that reconsideration, within 2 calendar Employment months of the publication of this report.

1386/2/1/22(2) The Committee noted that, on 24th July 2017, the States' Employment Board had
presented to the States its response to the Complaints Board's report. The Committee was notified that the Chairman of the States of Jersey Complaints Panel was disappointed with the response provided, which he found to be poorly balanced and highly selective and which ignored the context of the events surrounding the decision.
Accordingly, the Committee was asked to present to the States the response of the Complaints Panel to that of the States' Employment Board and instructed the Committee Clerk to take the necessary action.
