States  A1.  The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. B1 of 15th July 2019, recalled Members'  that it had received the report of the States Members' Remuneration Review Body Remuneration  (SMRRB') with its recommendations for remuneration for Members beyond the 2022 Review Body.  General Election.

The Committee further recalled that whilst it welcomed certain aspects of the SMRRB report, it had questions over the methodology used by that Body in reaching its conclusions. As a consequence, it intended to commission an independent evaluation thereof.

The Committee received a draft comment to accompany the SMRRB recommendations and instructed the Committee Clerk to arrange for these to be presented to the States.
