Legal Aid Guidelines Advisory Committee – appointment of members
In accordance with the provisions of Article 6 of the Access to Justice (Jersey) Law 201-, notwithstanding that the Law had yet to receive Royal Assent and be registered in the Royal Court, the Chief Minister nominated Deputy Jeremy Martin Maçon of St. Saviour and Deputy Kirsten Francis Morel of St. Lawrence as members of the Legal Aid Guidelines Advisory Committee.
Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade was nominated by Senator Stephen William Pallett.

THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of Senator Stephen William Pallett entitled Le Port Car Park, St. Peter : rescindment of parking restrictions' (P.33/2019) and acceded to a request by the Senator, in accordance with Standing Order 69(4), that paragraph (a) of his proposition be withdrawn.
THE STATES, resuming consideration of the proposition of Senator Stephen William Pallett, rejected an amendment of Deputy Jeremy Martin Maçon of St. Saviour (P.33/2019 Amd.) that, after paragraph (b), there should be inserted the following new paragraph (c) –
"(c) to request the Minister for Infrastructure and the Comité des Connétable s, as part of the
aforementioned consultation process, to examine whether Parish Assemblies are the most appropriate forum for the determination of permits and revocation of areas of the Island to be used for the above purposes; and",
and the original paragraph (c) should be re-designated as paragraph (d).

- requested the Minister for Infrastructure to consult with the Comité des Connétable s and other key stakeholder groups to identify and agree a list of designated areas for motorhome use around the Island and to bring forward policy guidelines, including a potential fee structure for the use of those aforementioned designated areas, for consideration by the Assembly; and
- requested the Minister for the Environment to review the permits relating to motorhome/ campervan use to ensure that any habitable use in the Island was limited to 24 hours within any 7 day period within a designated area and in accordance with any revised policy guidelines and fees arising from paragraph (a).

Changes in Presidency
The Deputy Bailiff retired from the Chamber during consideration of the proposition of Senator Stephen William Pallett entitled Le Port Car Park, St. Peter : rescindment of parking restrictions' (P.33/2019) and the meeting continued under the Presidency of Dr. Mark Egan, Greffier of the States.
