Commissioner A1. The Committee with reference to its Minute No. B10 of its meeting of 2nd for Standards - November 2020, received the Annual Report of the Commissioner for Standards for the Annual Report period from 1st September 2020 to 31st August 2021.
The Committee noted that, during the period, the Commissioner for Standards (the Commissioner') had received 12 formal complaints which was the same as in the previous year. In addition to formal complaints, the Commissioner had received additional correspondence highlighting either general concerns about elected Members collectively or specific concerns falling short of formal complaints.
The Committee recalled that, in accordance with Article 12(2) of the Commissioner for Standards (Jersey) Law 2017, it was required to present the Commissioner's report to the States as soon as practicable. Accordingly, it approved the report for publication in the Reports series and instructed the Principal Committee and Panel Officer to take the necessary action.
