Explanatory Note regarding subordinate legislation tabled at this Meeting

(See Item B)

R & O 17/2000

The purpose of this Order is to prescribe the tariff of dues payable for the use of the Airport and for services provided at the Airport between 1st  April 2000 and 31st December 2000.

The Order was made on 23rd February 2000 and comes into force on 1st April 2000. R & O 18/2000

The effect of this Order is to allow the Jersey Kart and Motor Club to close the Ronez road loop in St. John, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on each of the Sundays specified in the Schedule to the Order, for the purpose of holding motor races with karts.

The Order was made on 24th February 2000.

R & O 19/2000

The effect of this Order is as follows -

  (a ) in the parish of Saint Ouen, La Rue de la Fosse Au Bois and La Rue des Marettes cease to be roads subject to

a speed limit of 30 miles per hour;

(b ) in the parish of Saint Brelade, a speed limit of 20 miles per hour is imposed on La Verte Rue;

  (c ) in the parish of Saint Martin, a speed limit of 20 miles per hour is imposed on the one way road encircling the

rock in the quarry at Verclut, Saint Catherine;

(d ) in the parish of Saint Helier, a speed limit of 15 miles per hour is imposed on Clarke Avenue; and

  ( e) in the parish of Saint Ouen, a speed limit of 15 miles per hour is imposed on the 25 roads described in

Article  4(b) of the Order.

The Order was made by the Public Services Committee on 28th February 2000. The provisions relating to Saint Ouen will come into force on 20th April  2000. Those relating to the other parishes will come into force on  13th March 2000.

R & O 20/2000

This Order increases the fee for the cremation for a person above the age of seventeen years from £150 to £155. There is no fee for the cremation of a person below that age.

The maximum fee chargeable by a registered medical practitioner for completing a required medical certificate is increased from £32 to £35.

The Order was made on 1st March 2000 and comes into force on 15th March 2000.

R & O 21/2000

This Order increases the fees payable in respect of the registration of ancillary dental workers.

The fee payable on first enrolment, and on restoration to the roll, is increased from £33.50 to £34.00. The fee payable for retention on the roll is increased from £19.80 to £20.00.

The Order was made on 1st March 2000 and comes into force on 15th March 2000.

R & O 22/2000

The purpose of this Order is to increase from £76 to £78 the fee for an annual licence to use a vehicle or stall for the sale or preparation for sale of ice-cream.

The purpose of this Order is to increase the fees payable in respect of the licensing of nursing agencies. The fee payable on a first application for a licence is increased from £185 to £189. The fee payable for renewal of a licence is increased from £92 to £94. The fee payable on transfer of a licence to different premises is increased from £74 to £75.

The Order was made on 1st March 2000 and comes into force on 15th March 2000. R & O 24/2000

This Order increases the fee payable by a person in charge of a residential home on first registration to £56, and the annual fee payable by a person carrying on a home to £66.

This Order increases the fee payable by a person in charge of a nursing home or a mental nursing home on first registration to £56, and the annual fee payable by a person carrying on a home to £66.
