R & O 78/2000

The purpose of these Rules is to facilitate the coming into force of the Trade Marks (Jersey) Law 2000. Rules 2 to 8 of the Trade Marks (Jersey) Rules 1986, are dealt with by Order made by the Finance and Economics Committee under the new Law. These Rules, therefore, re-enact Rules 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the 1986 Rules.

The Rules were made by the Superior Number of the Royal Court on 6th September 2000 and come into force on 1st October 2000.

CORRIGENDUM

R & O 76/2000

Medicines (Applications for Manufacturer's and Wholesale Dealer's Licences) (Amendment) (Jersey) Order 2000.

The effect of this Order is to require an applicant for a manufacturer's licence or wholesale dealer's licence under the Medicines (Jersey) Law 1995 to disclose details of criminal convictions for offences that are punishable by imprisonment, and of previous professional misconduct.

Disclosure is required in relation to the applicant, the proposed holder of the licence and other specified persons who are to hold positions of responsibility under the licence.

The Order was made by the Health and Social Services Committee on 6th September 2000, after consultation with the Medicines Advisory Council, and comes into force on 14th September 2000.

This Explanatory Note corrects the Explanatory Note for R & O 76/2000 printed on the principal Order Paper.
