In accordance with Standing Order 22(3), the President of the Policy and Resources Committee has instructed the Greffier of the States to withdraw the proposition regarding a Population Policy, (P.205/2002 lodged "au Greffe" on 5th November 2002), the Committee having lodged a revised proposition at the present meeting.

R & O 54/2003
This Order provides for the closing of public roads and places to enable the holding of the Jersey Battle of Flowers, that is –
- t heBattleof Flowers properon Thursday 14th August 2003; and
- t heMoonlightParadeonFriday 15th August 2003.
The Order also sets out certain conditions relating to these closures.
The Order was made on 7th July 2003.
R & O 55/2003
The effect of this Order is to allow the St. Clement Sports Club to use Le Hocq Car Park, Le Hocq Slipway and part of La Grande Route de la Côte for the purpose of holding the St. Clement Fete on Saturday 30th August 2003.
It also authorizes the club to close the site to traffic temporarily, and imposes temporary parking restrictions in respect of other roads in the area.
In the event of bad weather or other adverse conditions, the club may postpone the holding of the fete to Sunday 31st August 2003.
The Order was made by the Environment and Public Services Committee on 7th July 2003, on the application of the club and after consultation by the Committee with the Connétable of Saint Clement.
