This Order increases, with effect from 1st January 2009, fees payable under the legislation for which the Minister for Planning and Environment has responsibility. They are as follows –

  1. t hefeefor a licence under the DangerousWild Animals (Jersey)Law1999 is increased from £200 to £250;thefeehasnotbeenincreasedsince 1999;
  2. t hefees for licences under the Animal Welfare (Jersey)Law2004 are increased by2.5%; the fees were lastincreasedon28th February 2008; thereisanexceptionfor the fee for a licence foran animal sanctuary, which is reduced;
  3. the fees payable for licences, registration and consignment notes under the Waste Management (Jersey) Law 2005 are increased by 2.5%; the fees were lastincreasedon 22nd July 2008;
  4. t hefees payable for planning applications and building permission applications under the Planning and Building (Jersey)Law2002 are revised andincreased,in the caseofsmallworks and small developments,by2.5%; the feeswerelast increased on1st March 2008; a new, higher rangeoffees is introduced for commercialventures (relating to 5 dwellingsor more) asoutlined in theAnnual Business Plan2009;
  5. t he fee payable for an application under the HighHedges(Jersey) Law 2008 is increasedby2.57%; the feewas first seton 11th January 2008.

The Order was made on 12th December 2008 and comes into force on 1st January 2009.
