Urgent Oral Question

In accordance with Standing Order 15 relating to Urgent Oral Questions, the Bailiff has approved the following question to the Chief Minister submitted by the Deputy of St. Mary -

" W  il l the Chief Minister confirm that heritage and culture are important to the Council of Ministers, the work of the Heritage Trust is valued by them and advise the Assembly what action, if any, will be taken to avoid three major sites closing in the middle of summer, and what action will be taken in the longer term to secure a sustainable future for the service?"

  1. m ay close public roads, and usethem, for the purpose ofholding the Battle of FlowersonThursday 13th August2009 and the Moonlight Paradeon Friday 14th August 2009;
  2. m ay restrict traffic onpublicroads for the same purpose;
  3. h as to give public notice of the closuresand restrictions; and
  4. h as to take out public liability insurance.
