15. Deputy P.V.F. Le Claire of St. Helier will ask the following question of the Minister for Health and Social Services –
" G iven the recent tragic death of a baby boy in Jersey due to persistent pulmonary hypertension, a condition which affects one in 500 births and may have been averted if nitric oxide was administered, what steps, if any, are being taken to ensure that there are supplies of nitric oxide and a trained administrator in the General Hospital from now on?"

In accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 15 the Bailiff has approved the following
urgent
oral question to be asked of the Chief Minister by Deputy T.M. Pitman of St. Helier –
" W ould the Chief Minister advise whether discussions have taken place amongst Ministers to
reduce the number of Departments and outsource and privatise many essential areas including
taxation and, if so, will he advise why these proposals were not made available to States members in order that the Annual Business Plan could be debated meaningfully?"
