The EU Legislation (Sanctions – Yemen) (Jersey) Order 2014 gives effect in Jersey to Regulation (EU) No 1352/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Yemen ("the 2014 Regulation"). The 2014 Regulation is amended by Council Regulation (EU) 2015/878 of 8 June 2015 (OJ L 143, 9.6.2015, p. 1) which introduces a new offence of providing technical or financial assistance relating to military activities and the provision or manufacture of arms and related materiel, to the persons named in Annex 1 to the 2014 Regulation.
Article 1 of this Order amends the EU Legislation (Sanctions – Yemen) (Jersey) Order 2014, to update it in line with these substantive changes and add the new offence for Jersey. Article 2 gives the title of this Order and provides for its commencement.
The Order was made on 17th June 2015 and came into force on 18th June 2015.
