In order that there should be an annual rotation of the membership of the proposed Statistics Users Group, the Policy and Resources Committee proposes that appointments to the Group, with the exception of the ex-officio Secretary, should be for a term not exceeding three years, renewable once at the discretion of the Policy and Resources Committee. Thus some initial appointments would be for a one-year term, some for a two-year term and some for the full three-year term, renewals and replacements being drawn from the nominations of interested bodies. The Committee therefore proposes to amend Article (1) (c) of its proposition lodged au Greffe on 28th September 1999 accordingly.
