SENATOR S. SYVRET

Report

I believe that the review body would greatly benefit from having amongst its members Advocate John Kelleher.

Advocate Kelleher's impressive C.V. speaks for itself but it is worth drawing particular attention to his book The Triumph of the Country: The Rural Community in 19th Century Jersey'. This book is the definitive work on the subject and demonstrates a high degree of knowledge of Jersey's traditions and the evolution of politics in the Island.

Through his professional activity as an Advocate and his work as a leading Island historian Advocate Kelleher is ideally placed to bring to the review a breadth of knowledge - both contemporary and historical - that would be of substantial benefit to the review process.
