Report
On the 22nd June 1993 the States Assembly approved the transfer of administration of the land and buildings known as the Postal Headquarters, Mont Millais, St. Helier, as originally shown on Drawing No. 385/2, from the Postal Committee to the Planning and Environment Committee (the then Island Development Committee). Since that time the property has been used for a various number of uses, and the site has now been cleared ready for a housing development, with the enabling works due to commence in November 1999.
It is the intention of the Housing Committee to undertake the housing development and construct 45 units of accommodation with the development due to commence in April 2000.
The Planning and Environment Committee considers that the administration of the site should now be transferred to the Housing Committee for the purpose of housing development.
