PROPOSITION
THE STATES are asked to decide whether they are of opinion -
(a) to approve drawings Nos. 99-908-007, 008D, 011B, 012C and 019A showing the proposed new elevations, floor plans and phasing of the refurbishment of Clinique Pinel, St. Saviour; and
(b ) to authorise the Greffier of the States to sign the said drawings on behalf of the States. HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES COMMITTEE
Notes: 1. T h e Finance and Economics Committee decided to support the report and proposition, subject to the tender
process delivering a cost that was within the estimated budget for the works.

Clinique Pinel is situated to the north of La Route de la Hougue Bie and within the grounds of St. Saviour's Hospital. A two- storey building constructed in 1968, it is in urgent need of refurbishment. The drawings have been completed and include a new roof covering, installation of double glazing and cladding to external walls to bring the building up to modern-day standards. Also included within this scheme are the replacement of boilers and upgrading of toilets and bathrooms, and alterations to some bedrooms.
Funding has already been approved and will come from Health and Social Services Committee Vote C3227 scheduled for 2000.
