EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL SECURITY COMMITTEE

Report

The Attendance Allowance Board meets every two to three weeks to decide whether the medical conditions of claimants to Attendance Allowance are such that an Attendance Allowance should be awarded. Under the Attendance Allowance (Jersey) Law 1973, a Board member is appointed for three years.

The Employment and Social Security Committee is pleased and grateful to the existing members of the Board for expressing a wish to continue for the next three years. Over the past six years this Board has maintained a balance of continuity, consistency and a spread of experience that is essential in assessing Attendance Allowance.
