Report

The demand for Health and Fitness activities has grown significantly over the past three years. The proposed extension to the existing facilities at Les Quennevais Sports Centre will ensure that the Sport, Leisure and Recreation Committee is well placed to meet this demand. The construction of the new Dance studio will allow the existing studio situated on the first floor to be converted into a Health and Fitness suite.

The Human Resources Committee has been notified that there are no additional manpower requirements resulting from this proposition.

The Finance and Economics Committee has agreed to fund the cost of the development by way of a loan of £300,000, to be repaid over a period of five years.

The Committee recommends the States to adopt the proposition accordingly.
