( b ) to agree that, notwithstanding the transfer of administration, the annual rental income received by the
Harbours and Airport Committee from the lease of the said land to the Jersey Electricity Company Limited should be transferred by that Committee to the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee.
AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES COMMITTEE
Note: T he Harbours and Airport Committee supports this proposition.
Report
The Agriculture and Fisheries Committee has approved terms to lease an area of land at the rear of the States Abattoir to the Jersey Electricity Company Limited. Part of the land is being leased on a term running until 2019 and the other area for a term of five years.
It is considered appropriate to transfer the administration of the subject land from the present Committee to the Harbours and Airport Committee, which committee will then take over the administration of the two leases, consistent with the other leases held by the Jersey Electricity Company Limited on adjacent land. The transfer of administration is subject to the annual rental received under the leases being transferred to the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee.
There are no other financial implications and there are no manpower implications resulting from the proposed transfer of administration.
