The Social Security Tribunal meets to hear appeals from the public against the decisions of the determining officer appointed by the Employment and Social Security Committee on any question under the Social Security (Jersey) Law 1974. Since 1974, the Tribunal has been convened on less than 50 occasions to hear appeals against the determining officer's decisions.
