MANUAL WORKERS' JOINT COUNCIL: MEMBERSHIP
Lodged au Greffe on 25th November 2003 by the Policy and Resources Committee
STATES GREFFE
PROPOSITION
THE STATES are asked to decide whether they are of opinion
to r ef er to their Act dated 9th November 1961 concerning the membership of the Manual Workers' Joint
Council, and to appoint –
• D ep u ty Maurice François Dubras of St. Lawrence
• S e n a tor Michael Edward Vibert
• M r . Anton J. Skinner
• M r . John D. Richardson
a s t h e States' Representatives on the Employers' Side of the Manual Workers' Joint Council, for the
period ending 31st December 2004.
POLICY AND RESOURCES COMMITTEE
REPORT
The Employers' Side membership comprises 6 representatives of the States, one representative of the Parish of St. Helier and one representative of the Connétable s. The Committee is satisfied that, based on this year's experience, the work of the Council can be effectively achieved by having only 4 States Representatives, together with the Constable of St. Helier, who represents both that Parish and theComité de Connétable s. The Chief Executive of the States Human Resources Department traditionally fulfils the role of Employers' Side Secretary, and the Director of Employee Relations from the Department becomes the Assistant Employers' Side Secretary.
There are no additional financial or manpower implications for the States arising from this proposition.
