Notes: The Harbours and Airport Committee supports the proposition.

REPORT

The proposed change of administration of the land associated with Alpha Taxiway has become necessary due to the re-alignment of the L'Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth  II, the associated roundabout joining L'Avenue de la Commune and the Airport approach road.

The proposed changes in administration allow the justification of the various boundaries between the Environment and Public Services Committee and the Harbours and Airport Committee, namely

(1  ) T h e original area of land used as a tanker discharge bay has been used to relocate the Airport

aeration pond and reed bed. The transfer of land from the Environment and Public Services Committee to the Harbours and Airport Committee will allow the latter to manage the aeration pond and reed bed.

(2 ) T h e areas of land to the north and west of the new airport roundabout where the road known as

L'Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth  II was previously located. Due to the relocation of the eastern section of L'Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth  II and the construction of the new roundabout these areas of land require the change of administration from the Environment and Public Services Committee to the Harbours and Airport Committee. This will allow the Harbours and Airport Committee to justify the boundaries with L'Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth  II to the south and L'Avenue de la Commune to the east.

There are no additional financial or manpower implications for the States.
