REPORT
The States will recall that proposals for the redevelopment of Le Squez and Le Marais, St. Clement were approved by the Assembly on 9th March 2004 (P.19/2004).
The first phase, of what will be a three-phased redevelopment of the low-rise blocks of flats at Le Marais, is for the construction of 14 one-bedroom flats and 23 three-bedroom houses with associated external works, onsite parking and J.E.C. sub-station.
The first 3 blocks of low-rise flats will be demolished, the tenants having been re-housed in alternative social rented accommodation. Construction work should commence later this year.
The financial implications of the redevelopment project were outlined in full within P.19/2004 and there are no additional manpower implications for the States.
