The Policy and Resources Committee decided to re-prioritise its resources, which were initially allocated to a five year census. This decision has been made based on a view that the resources will provide more timely annual information, focussed towards developing States policies.
If this Report and Proposition is approved there would be no additional resource available and the Committee would need to either cease the development of the new surveys or find the additional resource from within its existing cash limit.
