PROPOSITION

THE STATES are asked to decide whether they are of opinion

to a p prove the appointment of Jurats John Lyndon Le Breton and Peter John Morgan for the purpose of

administering the income of the Greville Bathe Fund in place of Arthur Philip Quérée and Michael Arthur Rumfitt who, on 18th May 2004 and 3rd June 2004 respectively, ceased to hold the office of Jurat.

REPORT

The will of the late Greville Inverness Bathe provided for the setting-up of a fund to be known as the Greville Bathe Fund. This Fund provides relief and pensions to persons in need who have given service in an honorary or remunerated administrative or clerical capacity to the Island or relief to sick and aged persons of either sex.

The administration of the Fund is carried out by 4 Jurats of the Royal Court selected by the States of Jersey.

The Superior Number of the Royal Court, by Act dated 28th June 2004, approved Jurats John Lyndon Le Breton and Peter John Morgan for nomination by the States to the Greville Bathe Fund in place of Arthur Philip Quérée and Michael Arthur Rumfitt who, on 18th May 2004 and 3rd June 2004 respectively, ceased to hold the office of Jurat.

The other Trustees of the Fund are Jurat S. Le Brocq and Jurat J. Clapham.

There are no financial or manpower implications for the States arising from this proposition.
