The Constitution of the Jersey Heritage Trust requires that the Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees chaired by a person nominated by the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture and appointed by the States of Jersey.

The Constitution states that a Chairman shall be appointed for a period of 4  years and may be re-appointed by the States of Jersey for one further period of 4  years giving a maximum period of 8  years in which any one individua can serve as Chairman.

The current Chairman, Jurat John de Veulle, was appointed Chairman of the Trust in June 2000 and re-appointed to that position in June 2004. In view of the above, the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture, having consulted with the Jersey Heritage Trust, would wish to nominate Mr.  Clive  S.  Jones for the position of Chairman of the Jersey Heritage Trust for period of 4  years with effect from October 2008 in accordance with the terms of the constitution, which was approved by the States on 25th May 1999.

He is a former President of the Jersey Bankers' Association, a former Chairman of Jersey Finance Industry Association, and a founding member of Jersey Finance Ltd.

In addition, he has served as Chairman of Governors of Grainville School and currently he is Vice-Chairman of Governors of Highlands College, and a committee member of the Jubilee Sailing Trust. He has been a Trustee of the Jersey Heritage Trust for 3  years.
