Lodged au Greffe on 21st June 2018 by Deputy J.M. Maçon of St. Saviour

STATES GREFFE

2018  P.91

PROPOSITION

THE STATES are asked to decide whether they are of opinion

to request the Minister for Infrastructure to hold a similar consultation process on pedestrian crossings on Bagatelle Road as previously took place in relation to Longueville Road, within the period of the next Medium Term Financial Plan, with the parameters for the consultation to be set with the input of elected parish representatives.

REPORT

Bagatelle Road is a very busy road and, despite having numerous schools in the area, there are no crossings to help residents or students cross roads safely. I would ask that this road is added to the list of roads considered for pedestrian crossings, and that some action takes place within the next 4 years.

Financial and manpower implications

Resources will need to be secured within the formation of the next Medium Term Financial Plan.
